The sidebar (see Apr 12) featured this post, in which someone's seemingly obscure question was answered in just six minutes. I think MY experience was even more amazing (as my question was more obscure), though it did take Gator an hour and ten minutes to cough up an answer. We can browse users' favorited posts/comments via their profile pages pretty easily. So, I'd like the same functionality when it comes to "best answers": ability to click on the number of "best answers" given to a user, and see which of their answers have been marked as such. I figure something as obvious as this would have been built in by now, so why ain't this pony prancing? [more inside]

Good ask metafilter thread that doesn't answer the question? Yes, they exist.
This (Medical Marijuana ask.mefi thread) is a good example of an ask metafilter thread where people don't answer the specific question of the poster, but still remain civil and helpful. Yay. So there's an existence proof that people can be helpful while not answering the question asked (and not fall all over themselves to be jerks).

Is this the worst AskMe response yet? By my count fifteen of the eighteen comments do not answer the question and should be deleted.

Is using "best answer" on subjective questions appropriate?
The best answer feature used in this AskMeFi question seems a little disconcerting to me. For a question that's so subjective, is it really appropriate? I find it off putting.
