I remember reading either a post or a comment that listed some sources for, I believe, free online counselling services. Can't find the post or comment in question. Does anyone kmow where it is? It was probably an askme.

Maybe you're thinking of the There Is Help page on the wiki?

I also just found HelpGuide this week which is a good starting point for a lot of similar queries.

Searching the site for several of the often-recommended URLs (befrienders.org, suicidepreventionlifeline.org) brought up these comments
