More color for Classic ponies
It's been about a year and a half since the Modern theme became available, which brought with it new colors for Fanfare, IRL, and Jobs, which were and are white in Classic. There were a few requests for getting the colors added to Classic, but it never happened. Maybe now is the time? [more inside]
Metafilter Colours.
(Or, "colors", if you prefer..)
While wearing my standard-version MetaFilter t-shirt a few days ago, I offhandedly commented to my husband that I liked the sort-of lime-ish green colour of the "Filter" portion of text. He was totally perplexed because, apparently, the colour is NOT green it's yellow. WHAT?? [more inside]
Like browsing MeFi in a shrouded theater
A lot of people have complained about FanFare's professional white background. Well, DRUNK WITH POWER after somehow kludging together a successful CSS theme for /r/MetaFilter with zero experience, I decided to try my hand at giving our new subsite a makeover, too -- the layout is fine, but that glaring white is painful to read in a darkened teevee room. Inspired by the original soothing dark blue color scheme from film/TV review aggregator Metacritic (which discarded it for an unpopular redesign years ago), I put together a complete FanFare theme (screenshot*) that adjusts not just the background and text, but stuff like visited links, link hovering, the pop-up video button and lightbox, posting page notes, live preview area, and the sidebar and Deck ad box. You can install it in Firefox (with Greasemonkey or Stylish), Chrome (with Stylish or Blank Canvas Script Handler), and jailbroken iOS (with Userscript Loader, using this URL) -- it's tested and working properly on all three. Look, you're really cute, but I can't understand what you're saying...
"Looks like you're searching for an exact phrase. The local search doesn't do that so well. Be sure to try your search for "_____" at Google if you don't find what you're looking for here." Perhaps it's just my colorblind eyes, but I can't see anything other than the "deep space nine" link in the notice above my search results. Is there any chance the Big Dark Bar of Highlighting could be changed to a different color so the text stands out more effectively? Thank you!
The purple.
The background of MeFi Projects sings to me
Is there any way to make the background color of one page apply to the others? Or different themes beyond default and plain? [more inside]

super mefize me
I'm trying to MeFize my life, but I need some help. I've found color codes for the backgrounds of each subsite, but I cannot find the color code for the lovely gold-esque color that denotes a link. Help?
View source is a cool tool, after all
Is it just me, or has Cool Tools ganked the color scheme from the blue?
Hope the Lazy
Can the anchors in the "posted by" line have a different link/visited color than anchors people put into either the post or their comments?
Background color and info in RSS ponies
QuickTwoPonyRequest: [1] Can a background color for alternating comment s be used to aid readability? [2] Can tags, category and poster information be added to the two RSS feeds?
Lobster stole our color scheme.
Can we get another background for AskMe?
COLOR THEORY CRYBABYFILTER: I love the blue and grey of metafilter, but find the green of AskMefi to overwhelm me, and in kind of a swampy pea green soup way where I can feel ill if I read it too long. Is it possible to offer another background color, similar to the white screen you can get in your preferences when the Metafilter blue gets similarly distracting? I love AskMefi but that green really gets overwhelming at points.
A pony of any color?
I think Metafilter is the best thing there is. When I saw the bright ,colorful, sparkling "Spooky Filter" on the home page, I realized what I have been longing for more than anything in the world: being able to choose a brighter color pattern for my personalized viewing pleasure. Am I a heretic ? Will I mercilessly burn at the stake?
Links appearing as default-blue
For the past several days, links on both MeFi and MetaTalk have been appearing as default blue. At first I thought this was a design decision (though they're devilish hard to see against the MeFi background), but apparently the color change hasn't happened for Windows browsers (I use IE5 for the Mac). What's up?

Dig the text field color shifts . . . once I realized it was happening on purpose.

Customize link color pony!
Matt, in the customize section, could you also make it so that one can customize the link colours? I'd really like to change the links from yellow to say orange. Not sure how hard it would be, but it would be a nice addition. Thanks...
