Delete post button on duplicates

Could we have a delete post button on the preview page when a Mefi post has duplicate links in it? At the moment you have to click new post again to delete the draft.

I...apologize

Wanda: No. Not to me. To Archie. And make it good, or we're dead. It's been very politely brought to my attention that several of the links I've pointed to in the latest incarnation of the Great Trump Inaugural Thread had already been posted by others. I could blame the length of the thread & the loading time or whatnot but the truth is I haven't been as diligent in checking first as I should have been. I honestly feel quite bad about it & decided to make a post here as both penance for myself & reminder to others. I apologize to all & will make sure to check more thoroughly going forward.

Over and over and over again.

Four live posts on the Park51 mosque. Two MetaTalk posts (three now). This is getting ridiculous. Suggestion: either introduce a separate "current events" area, or have a way of bouncing posts back up to the top if people are really interested in continuing to talk about it.

crazy posts

I think metatalk might have a problem with repeated entries.

Double double?

On the green... why do we have a duplicate post? As in, word-for-word duplicate

My Little Pony, I Love My Little Pony.

Ooops, I did it again. I made a comment and once again it resulted in an accidental triple comment, a product (I suspect) of some sort of clash between my work server and Metafilter's server. It's not the first time it's happened either. And although all but one of my triple-comment will (hopefully) have been deleted by the time I finish writing this post (I have e-mailed an admin, as I usually do whenever it happens), it's getting annoying. Matt, I know you're really busy providing us with an awesome site, but could you please institute some kind of delay of just a few seconds between the time that someone has posted a comment and the time that they can comment again? They have one over at Metafilter's twin, Devoter, so surely it can't be that hard to do, can it? And best of all, it'll have plent of other benefits to the site (preventing abuse etc) and better yet, you, cortex and the ever suffering jessamyn will never have to get another e-mail from me asking you to delete two of my comments. Matt, please, can this be done?

Doubled posts on the blue

I've noticed a fair bit of double posts recently on MeFi (not AskMefi nor MeTa).
Here (keswick), here (bugbread) and here (3.2.3.) Is there some newly introduced bug in the posting code?

Counts in profile not right?

My user page is borked. I've answered way more than zero things in ask.me. I've posted more than zero responses in the blue. I'm pretty sure I can't post in the blue, either, though this may not be a problem anymore - I just haven't had anything blueworthy recently. My account is pretty old, and it was stagnant for a while. Does that explain things?

duplicate anchor names in thread

This comment permalink should go to a Hunter S. Thompson quote, but it goes to the wrong place. There are duplicate anchor names on the thread.

Double Posts Must Stop Or Else

I'm sick of double posting. I want to stop double posting. How can I be sure, without manually searching the source codes of every month in the archives, that I'm not double posting? And is there any point in telling someone they've double posted when there's no way they can avoid it?

Duplicate link in previous threads

I just tried to post a link to this article: http://english.joins.com/Article.asp?aid=20011226014315&sid=300, but I got this message instead.

The link you entered ( ) was found in 12676 previous threads.

This can't be possible, can it? Any ideas?

duplicate post after preview

I was adding a comment to a thread I started, and I previewed it once, added another line and previewed it again before posting. But it posted the message twice. The first being what was in the first preview and the second is what I wanted to post. The server had a slow reponse, and maybe that was a result or the cause of the error.

Duplicate Link Pony Request

So when's that feature gonna come to negate repeat links? There've been two posts today -- last page on net, Simpsons bootlegs -- that have been reruns of things we've seen within the last month.
