Duplicate Link Pony Request March 23, 2000 5:42 PM   Subscribe

So when's that feature gonna come to negate repeat links? There've been two posts today -- last page on net, Simpsons bootlegs -- that have been reruns of things we've seen within the last month.

ALSO, too many of the links recently have been unworthy of the great interest of former MetaFilter links. Like the "why I'm not a cat lover" link of today. A recent "Room of Jean's Own" in the Onion satirized the fascination with such cute crap. Links like that only serve to unnecessarily bloat the daily fine-dinin' smorgasbord that MetaFilter should be.

heh. I can't imagine the fuzzy logic required to weed out the lame links. I suppose I could institute that karma stuff, and let the low scored stuff fall to the bottom (and let people set their tolerances above a certain level so they wouldn't have to see them right away)
