Where can I offer to take free OKCupid portrait photos for MeFites?

This post has me thinking - where would be the best place for me to post an offer to take free OKCupid portrait photos (in NYC) for any MeFites who want them? [more inside]

YOU ARE TEARING ME APART LISA!!

Previously covered on the blue, The Room will be showing at Chandler Cinemas, May 15th at 11pm. If you haven't had a chance to see this fantastic trainwreck of a film, now would be a great opportunity. I'd like to host a meetup/pre-film party at my house starting around 6 ir 7 if any AZ Mefites would be interested. [more inside]

HDMI Cables? Can I lift those with my pitchfork?

This post is distinctly spammy. The pleasure of answering questions and helping people in AskMeFi is the reward, not offers of free stuff.

Free Weather Underground subscription

FreeStuffFilter: I just looked at my subscription-paid Weather Underground page and noticed that the WU is letting me send free 1-year memberships to anybody I choose. I've already sent these to my family, and the WU keeps giving me more, so if anybody wants one, ping me and I'll send you one, until I run out or WU decides I've sent enough.

Wasting resources is not a good way to hate on MS

I have no love for Microsoft but this FPP only encourages mean-spirited and dishonest behavior.

Geocities Migration

Now that Geocites has cut off FTP to its free users, we're likely to see a mass migration of Geo-based bloggers to other free FTP-capable hosts. (more inside)

The end of free

Ev Williams of Blogger's new (well new to me, anyway) project is The End of Free

What does this mean for Blogger? How will it "transition from free to fee and beyond"? What about other weblog software, is there anything you'd pay for?

So, now that you've won a TiVo, what will you do with it?

So, now that you've won a TiVo, what will you do with it? Keep it? Sell it? Drop it in the nearest pool of magma? Will eBay suddenly be flooded with TiVos?

No edit feature was forthcoming

The horror! From the ether of the Internet they came. Words misspelled, tags not closed. And there was carnage, and suffering, and the people cried out to The Haghey for an edit feature.

But the serpent Sikk had gained favor in The MetaFilter court, and Haughey hardened his heart. No edit feature was forthcoming.

And the carnage continued. Three score and 4 posters died from shame, all for want of a forgotten pronoun. Again the people cried out to The Haughey. If not an edit feature, why not a preview feature.

But The Haughey would hear none of it. "If I grant you a preview, the Ticket Stubs shall never be done". And thus the MetaFilterites suffered.

Eeep! To much of that wacky god stuff. Anyway, thanks to the magic of bookmarklets, and the incompetence of my managers, (a few weeks of lag time right now, followed by two weeks of non stop overtime work), I present the Preview bookmarklet.

Drag the link to you links toolbar, (just like Deepleap, but without the Sexy Motherfucker), type you comment, and then use the bookmarklet. You post will be previewed in a brand new window. The bookmarklet will work on any page with a single form and single textarea.

It's not quite perfect, I'm not sure what HTML Matt does and doesn't allow, plus my brain hurts too much to grep out the line breaks right now. Also, I didn't feel like dissecting the entire Metafilter style sheet, so your colors and spacing may be a bit off. Let me know if you run into any problems (it's only been tested on the PC side).

Hey, it's free. Deal.
