Possibility of occasionally doing two FPPs in a day?

This has happened several times, but today's example is a bit frustrating. I did a post about Norway and the Winter Olympics, which went live at 12:02. At 12:14, I spotted the perfect fodder for another (even better) FPP, namely the spectacular hair of MulletFest. But couldn't do a post (or even start to edit one) as over 23 hours still had to elapse (and I'm away tomorrow judging a baking competition somewhere hopefully warm and, ironically, getting a haircut, so I can't post then anyway). As this afternoon has gone on, more linkworthy content has appeared [1][2][3], making it more frustrating that I can't do an FPP. Could there be exceptions, or a place on MetaFilter where people can drop a "I can't post about X, but it's there if someone else wants to"? Otherwise most MeFites remain unaware of e.g. the latest hair fashions. Thank you.

Metafilter Frequency Tables updated, now with 636 million words!

It's been over a year since we first made the Metafilter Frequency Tables available, and now they're updated with word frequency information for all of 2011 and 2012 as well, bringing the total number of words up to six hundred and thirty-six million. Gosh! (Is a word we've collectively used 5,707 times since 1999!) [more inside]

Too much of a good thing

At what point does frequent posting devolve into spamming a thread? [more inside]

Ask.mefi limit between posts?

Didn't ask.mefi used to have a 7 day gap between posts? When/why did it go up to 14?

Posting differences between AskMe and MeFi

Too fast... no, wait, too slow! It seems to me like AskMe is moving faster and faster every day in terms of the frequency of posts, especially at the busier times of the day -- it can go as high as a post every 10-20 minutes. Yet MeFi proper seems to be going slower and slower all the time, down to about one post every two hours or so. Am I right? Or crazy? And why?

Why do we have so many youtube links recently?

Why do we have so many youtube links recently, specifically compared to google video links? Is everyone here a Youtube addict, or do the cool kids ignore google, or what?

No posts on MetaFilter since 12 midnight?

No posts on MetaFilter since 12 midnight? Am I the only one seeing this or have we truly reached the end of the internets?

Posting limits reallocation?

Instead of one AskMe/MetaTalk thread a week, can we get four a month?

One should be allowed to ask questions more often

What's with the one question per week? I am an active Ask.Mefi user and often have many questions (to the tune of 2-3 per week) that get awesome responses. Anyone know of comparable places to ask on a wide variety of subjects?

Would one post per week be better?

I think that there's a consensus that the one-thread-per-user-per-day rule is a good thing. If that's so, would one post per week be better?

Is there a point at which someone is contributing too much to MetaFilter?

The issue of posting too many links has cropped up again (84 links in 100 days, including 9 this week). Is there a point at which someone is contributing too much to MetaFilter, or is it irrelevant as long as they're good?

MeFi Posting Frequency

The posting debate has been thrown open. I've posted my response as a comment here, and would love to here other's comments about how frequently people should be posting and what constitutes quality.
