Looking for something I believe was posted to the blue or possibly as an answer on the green: a blog post or article along the lines of the geek's (or gamer's) guide to social life. One passage I remember dealt with feeling obligated to always invite the person nobody likes to every gathering, thus making everyone unhappy. Anyone recall what I'm talking about? Thanks!
Reminder: Feel free to add/update your Gamer IDs on the wiki if you have new loot.
Anyone visiting the Outlands this week? With an estimated 8 million participants worldwide, I figure there are a good number of Mefite Blood Elves and Dranaei starting out life at level 1 today. Can we get a show of hands with where you're situated, server-wise? We can host a dance party on top of the portal, or something.
MeFites in MMOs? Based on some of the comments in this thread (and others, others and still others), it is an easy guess that Metafilter has substantial representation in many a server-based world. So confess. Where do you spend your virtual time? Is it WoW? Is it CoH or CoV? Is it KoL? Is it EVE? Who knows ... there might be some untapped potential here.
I'd like to organize or provide space for MeFites with a Nintendo DS and one of the several WFC-enabled games (Animal Crossing, MarioKart, Tony Hawk) to share their friend-codes. Anyone else interested? I ache to race against people I'm connected to! I want to bring oranges to your villages!
