Seeking FPP about a photographer who chronicled her weight loss online.
I remember a post here on MetaFilter about a photographer who decided to lose weight and, as the artist she is, decided to chronicle her weight loss with an online journal, telling the story in words and in black and white images of her body as she lost weight. She was unaware at the start of her project that she would end up having folds and flaps of skin but she found out pretty rapidly, and regardless that it was painful for her to discover what she did, she kept the journal ongoing. Photo Friday on Metachat
It's Friday!...which means that over on Metachat, we continue the Friday tradition of posting photos by members on a given theme (this week, Fences; other recent marvels, Glow, Photobooth, Reflections, Old/New. If you haven't been over to MetaChat in a while, or ever, Photo Friday is a nice place to start with a post or a comment - and a relaxing way to wind down the work week with a few moments of Zen. To publicize a potentially disturbing site?
A real quandary here, folks. While Googling for "kisses of love" I found a site called Butterfly Kisses dedicated to lesbian paedophilia. It's very slickly produced and contains lots of photographs by celebrated photographers such as Sally Mann. This makes it all the more disturbing.
I was planning on posting it but somehow I feel put off by publicizing it. I'm reminded of the ethical problems associated with posting nutjob political sites. On the one hand, perhaps posting the site on MetaFilter will make it be denounced and go underground(which would be a good thing, IMO). On the other, it might just draw attention to something best left alone.
Though I'm aware MetaTalk is read by a lot of people, it doesn't attract as many readers as MetaFilter. What should I do? Post it or forget about it?

What are some good photo blogs?
(Not too be a brown nose but) Matt's use of photographic images in a.wholelottanothing.org is beautiful (and central to the content it seems to me ?) Besides photographica.org, any other photocentric weblogs anyone would recommend? Thanks. PS Do you think there will there be more of these? Will soundtracks happen too?
Online articles made crappier by lack of reprinted photos
I don't know where else to put this: If you work for a major media company that is repurposing analog content into the digital media, then please pass a note to your people that a) when a caption says "Left, Joe Blow" in analog form, it might need editing in digital form, particularly as considering how Joe may now be to the right, top or bottom of the caption, or Joe's picture may not be there at all, leading to b) Please, if you feel the need to print stories like "Calvin Klein was hit with a pie, as shown in the picture above" please show the picture above. Very frustrating. I know you old media people are too cheap to pay photographers that little bit extra to use their pictures online, too, but it makes no sense to then go ahead and pay the writer for a story that is near useless without the photo.
Metafilter for artists/designers/photographers?
Metafilter is a great site, but by sheer definition it covers a wide gamut of topics. Are there any Metafilteresque or 'slash' sites for artists, designers or photographers? I want a k10kesque slash site to visit.
Aside from that, what other wonder sites are there which fit into this mold? I'm currently enjoying iaslash.org a great deal, which is for information architects. Other than that, I'm stumped. Thanks!
