Could we have the threads/comments we've flagged as "fantastic" somehow noted on our profile pages?

Or is that information gone forever once it's scrolled off the page?

Also, flagging on the blue would rawk.

(this is a cool idea)

yes, great idea!

Maybe also be able to see 'posts flagged as fantastic by your contacts' in the contacts view?

gleuschk, you can flag away on "the blue" it's always been there.

vacapinta, that's a great idea and something I was planning to do with the Projects site actually. I'd love to see a feed of recent votes from my contacts -- stuff my friends liked is stuff I'd probably like, and doing it with "fantastic" flags is a great idea.

Sorry, I should have said: flagging things "fantastic" on the blue, and then having that information available to the world like it is on "the green", would rawk.

I think gleuschk is confusing the "fantastic" flag with the "best answer" marker on AskMe, and the way it highlights the particular awesome response. That said, I think that would be a great feature also-- maybe to call attention to the comments that might not be quite sidebar-worthy, but are still deserving of extra attention.

Nah, I think he's talking about the latter half of this, from the top of the green, which is somewhat new:
There is also a filtered view of this page showing just questions with "best" marked answers and another page of fantastic questions and answers suggested by members.

I stand corrected, Wolfdog. But yes, by all means let's make this available for the blue as well.

Maybe rather then a seperate HTML page, we could get a little DHTML popup with flagging options when we click the little [!]. Then maybe we could have little fairies that fly out of the screen (I think you need Ajax and web 2.0 for that) that serve up exactly what you need when you think of it.

This sounds more like a Web 3.1b8 feature IMGHO

it would be wonderful to have it for the Blue. and it would remind us to use the flags for good as well as not-good.

Good idea.

We crave positive reinforcement.

That was one of the reasons I asked for this pony, which, as was noted above, Matt delivered, sorta (but which is not yet nearly as featureful as I'd hoped, or global, though he has promised to revisit it).
