"and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do" November 30, 2005 10:14 PM   Subscribe

Not that long ago (within the last month; two months at most) there was a link to a comment made by an advisor to the Bush administration that went somewhere along the lines of "we are the makers of history, and we will be judged by a future of our making." I can't find it. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

It sounds like something from one of the many posts about Dominionism.

Is it bad that my first association is Aphex Twin, and only then O'Shaughnessy?

Better than my first association: Willy Wonka

Worse: I made a vague association to Bogart via the "stuff that dreams are made of" line by that alien dude at the end of The Explorers.

It wasn't really a month ago, it was about a year and a half ago and was the critical center of a feature piece in the New York Times Magazine. The above reference was just a quote.

[googles for "bush reality new york times magazine"]

Ron Suskind, Oct 2004, "Without A Doubt".

That piece really stuck with me, especially after the election three weeks later.
