external links are no longer opening in a new window

In the past day or so, external links are no longer opening in a new window. I'm using IE 5 for the Mac. I've confirmed the preference didn't change.

But I ordered in the correct manner and didn't complain when you didn't give me my bread (or a pony!).

I should have thought to look for static page as the culprit.

What about this:

On my work PC (Win 2000, IE 5) I get new windows with links. On my home PC (Win 98 Lite, IE 5) no new windows. I just changed home machine to Win ME, IE 6 and still have the same issue. The browers are set exactly the same. My preferences here are set to new windows.

Any insight?
