Thank you, grapefruitmoon.

Indeed he has!

Except Ron Mueck, who is mince.

I agree. Grapefruitmoon, how about sharing how you yourself come by these sites? While I catch ahead of time a lot of what ends up on Mefi, your posts are always new to me. Any blog recommendations, RSS feeds, magazines?

grapefruitmoon is a lady, and an arteest and, I agree, a great FPPer, cameltoes excepted perhaps.

Pastabagel's trying to steal your mojo! Cheeky beggar!
Nice stuff, grapefruitmoon.

She sure has. Thanks grapefruitmoon!

Hee eff-pee-pee-r, cameltoe 2.0. I mean, I agree.

Hey, this is like one of them reverse callouts, the kind without the burning sensation down there...

I don't think I am (I'm not sure what "you" and "mojo" refer to), but I did read "Cheeky beggar" as "cheesy burger" which can only mean lunchtime.
posted by Pastabagel at 10:09 AM on April 18, 2007

Damn. And I had my pitchfork ready.

Oop! My apologies grapefruitmoon.

Cheesy burgers cannot save you now, mojo thief.

Just joshing, Pastabagel! I know you'd do no mojo no-no.
posted by Abiezer at 10:29 AM on April 18, 2007

Yes, she has.

(and jessamyn, don't you mean "cameltoes accepted"?)

I wish there were an RSS feed for each user, because I always read grapefruitmoon's FPPs (and her husband Kattullus' posts, too).
posted by dw at 10:48 AM on April 18, 2007

Uh, there is a feed for each user. Click on the little orange feed icon on their profile page.
posted by Rhomboid at 10:52 AM on April 18, 2007

Now, if only there was a way to mark her posts as good in some manner. A link that could mark it as favored over others, somehow.

Sigh.

Me, I wish there were a way I could type out some kind of message and send it to the server, so that other people could read it.

cameltoes accepted

Sounds like some occult desert currency. Or some cult pervert currency.
posted by goodnewsfortheinsane at 11:30 AM on April 18, 2007

Like a series of tubes, or something?

That would be so sweet! I would hit the bottom of that tube *SO* hard. And then dump a truck on it. Yeah!

I thought it was a "Buy orange Chiclets for this user" button.

HOLY CARP.

Am I uh, in the right universe? Did I miss something? Is this still MetaTalk? Hope me!

I'm flattered. To say the least.

As for my sources... I'm just an art dweeb. I find this stuff. It happens.
posted by grapefruitmoon at 11:55 AM on April 18, 2007

You can't have her! She's mine!
posted by Kattullus at 11:57 AM on April 18, 2007

I'm so glad my wife isn't on MetaFilter or I'd have to start behaving.

Cheers, grapefruitmoon!

grapefruitmoon: "HOLY CARP."

Did you mean... [self-link]
posted by Plutor at 12:05 PM on April 18, 2007 [1 favorite]

Yes, Plutor, I think that it is precisely what I meant.

FRESH CRAP!
posted by grapefruitmoon at 12:15 PM on April 18, 2007

Crap might be short for crappie. That top fish looks just like a crappie. So, possibly not a typo, unless you know something I don't, Plutor.

“grapefruitmoon is a lady

Goodness, a member of the nobility here on MetaFilter. Perhaps this explains the (usual) high-mindedness of her posts.
posted by Ethereal Bligh at 12:42 PM on April 18, 2007

And although she may have studied with an expert dialectician and grammarian, I can tell that she was born Hungarian! Not only Hungarian, but of royal blood. She is... a princess.

I don't like these cryptic callouts. Who exactly am I supposed to be mocking for what now?

Hate grapefruit.
Love grapefruitmoon.

Hate carp.
Loved WKRP.

Who ordered the cheezy burger on a pastabagel?

On MetaFilter, a female person who posts wonderful art FPPs is a Lady. Or a Madam. I'd include miss lynnster too, but she posts topless way too much.

I'd love them even more if you linked to the cool sites where you find the cool things you post.

That's the thing... I do, in the few instances when I find something via a website. Most often, I hear about an artist or something from a friend or I read it in a magazine and thus, there's nothing to link TO.
posted by grapefruitmoon at 10:20 AM on April 19, 2007

posted by cortex (staff) at 11:01 AM on April 19, 2007

I know. Finding stuff in REAL LIFE and then linking to it on the intertrons. WHODA THUNK.

(I also, er, have a blog. Art stuff goes there that I might not deem worthy of an FPP, and also, my own art. Uh. Just to uh, let you know. Link's in the profile.)
