Feature request: A flag for posts that are useful, but from the deep archive, i.e. closed comments, and may be untagged; the purpose being to make them available for future feature requests.

Can you provide a complete scenario of how this would work?

It would just add a category for admins to sift flags and add a date aspect vs. simply 'fantastic post/comment'. Possible use? I would think of adding some of the results to the '1, 2, 3, 4, 5 years ago.' in the sidebar.

All else aside, actually just flagging thing as fantastic is an okay start—non-recent things showing up in the flag queue sort of stands out when we glance at the admin page, and we could consider doing some flag-plumbing effort to track down older stuff. Not very robust, but a decent for-now kluge.

ps. That emdash wasn't meant as snark—I didn't even use it right. And I didn't see it RIGHT THERE—I had to go look it up first.

No snark—or other ill intent—inferred.
