What about somehow allowing members to choose their most and least favorite front page posts in profile page as a way to add some metafilter-specific editorial personality to each profile page?
One additional thought: could become become a sort of confessional for members who choose one of their own prior front page posts as their least favorite.

Also Matt, I'm sick of typing all of these words. I can't be typing words all day long. Could you whip up a pictographic language made of simple, self-explanatory glyphs, like on a McDonald's cash register? It'd be real handy, thanks. I KNOW YOU HAVE ENDLESS FREE TIME.
