Me -- I write Dead Eyes Open (SLG, now wrapped and being blogged with a "director's commentary"); Captain Blood (SLG, ongoing); RPM (Ape Entertainment, online/print, ongoing); Man-Man (Internet, wrapped, massive (about 1300 daily strips)); and have a couple of things in development like Danger Chefs (alluded to in an Ask post here), Rise, Kraken! (now in art limbo) and Fear the Flesh of Ghandeinstein (development hell).

Would some friendly New Yorker, at the next NYC meetup, kindly kidnap Mr. Nog and force him, Kathy Bates in Misery style, to draw some new comics? That thing with the hammer on the feet might be going a little too far, but do what you need to do. You know, use your best judgment.

Thanks. I'd really appreciate it.

Me. I do an ongoing strip about guys in a band. Interrobang probably deserves an assist for it, because he's talked me through several process/existential freakouts.

I also did a one-off about shooting the members of Fleetwood Mac in the head, but I was still learning to draw when I did it, so it looks sub-optimal.

Also, thanks for making this thread.

Artw, COBRA!, Superfrankenstein, and beaucoupkevin make with the comics, though the last guy apparently don't come 'round here no more.

I do some stuff too, but I still suck far too much to start sharing it with actual people.

Also, bondcliff, sorry about my lack of new comics, but I'll take this opportunity to say that there's going to be a very special comic-type thing I'll be unveiling in a couple of weeks, in honor of my favorite holiday coming up.

That's righteous news.

and beaucoupkevin make with the comics,

He's been on a tear lately with the creating new strips (he writes, other people draw). His stuff's here- everything there except Planet Wifey is a Church production.

Hmm. It's alright. Warrens been plundering New Scientist again. Not some kind of fantastic amazing send off to the series but it doesn;t leave me massively disappointed either (see:the issue before).

Really the comic to look for in your local comicbook store today is Ed Brubaker and Sean Philip's "Criminal", which kicks off a new story that I am sure will be every bit as fantastic as everything they have done together to date.

And NO, I'm not buying Astonishing X-Men just because your name is on the fucking cover. I'll just sit here and weep quietly and read the new Deadpool. *sniffle*

But while I was in the shop, I was introduced to a guy who has done a few Deadpool covers. Turns out he lives just down the road from me. So it is indeed a day of Comics Synchronicity.

BitterOldPunk, I love that you're going around to comic shops, keeping the honest and pure and noble tradition alive. Sir, I salute you. I live within three miles of several good comic book shops but I usually just end up ordering (from them!) online cause I'm kinda agoraphobic and twitchy. It's nice to know cool kids are still pestering clerks and grumbling about trades.

P.S : I love trades.

Hey, I go to the comic store every damn week, where're my props?

Though all I get regularly is The Walking Dead and glamourpuss, and still haven't read the last nine issues of Wednesday Comics. I'm trying Sweet Tooth, but I think Lemire's art works better in B&W. I order collections from Amazon. The new Love and Rockets book and R. Crumb's Genesis arrived yesterday!

Also, I've begun to liquidate most of my collection. I'd blog what I bring in and what I get for it, but the shame would probably cause me to blow my brains out by the third post.

Just read the last issue of Planetary (yay!), & I just checked: #26 came out in October 2006. At the time, someone wrote, "Looking forward to the final issue which unfortunately will probably be in 2008." That cynicism amuses me.

Oh, the timing of this is perfect.

I'm working on an art project that will likely be short-lived and make no money. I would love it if some of you, (any of you?), would consider creating something based on a name I give you. I already own the domain and have a couple of submissions from some MeFis and would love to include yours.

Please contact me via MeMail or the email in profile. Hit me up and I'll share the muse name, (the same as the domain name).

My vision right now is to have a randomly displayed image supported by a gallery of images and perhaps a method for visitors to submit.

Be aware that the topic is mildy-NSFW and strictly non-PC.
