"IN SOVIET RUSSIA" is to memes what scabies is to skin, if scabies had a strong odor and made a screeching noise.

Something Awful needs to figure out a better containment system for their memes.

The goons carry them everywhere like a virus, if a virus was like scabies, and scabies had a strong odor and made a screeching noise.

What are you saying luser? The links, linked nothing for me...whosh! as it went over my head.

Great, more pointless noise. I removed the references.

Is Yakov Smirnoff hot again? I use the word again very, very loosely. Actually, I use the word hot very, very loosely also.

Science does not know how many levels of irony it would take to bring back the Bard of Branson. Our best guess is, many, many more than humans are capable of processing.

I'm still waiting for Balki Bartokamus to come back so I can use my "Get out of the city!" quip.

I hate to even say it, but dire circumstances demand dire measures.

I refer of course to the well-known and heavily documented fact, highlighted repeatedly in recent speeches and writings by both Noam Chomsky and Michael Moore, and so well-linked by both blogs and commercial news sources that its truth can be disputed only by the most utterly rabid SUV-driving Freeper that, in point of fact, in Soviet Russia references remove mathowie.

I'm still waiting for Balki Bartokamus to come back...

He's back, but with a brogue. Good play, but be warned--it is much more "serious" and somewhat less raucous than it is billed (people expecting Pinchot to do an Irish "Perfect Strangers" are disappointed).

I'm sorry to say, I was acting badly...I used a Yakov Smirnov inspired quip on irc.metafilter
& should've quit while I was ahead.

The "X to Y/Y to X" nature of chiasmus got the worst of me.

I was acting badly, if I say, but I've learned an important lesson.

Me too, TCS. I haven't the slightest idea what these folks are talking about.

Is Yakov Smirnoff hot again?

Posters have been doing the "In Soviet Russia..." bit over at Fark, Something Awful, et al, for about a year. Kinda funny at first. Some were very clever.

And then...
