One after another April 6, 2001 10:25 PM   Subscribe

Curious why posts go chronologically down the page and not up (most recent at top). At least as an option, this would seem a good idea.

Interesting as an option, but I don't see the usefulness of it, really. I mean, would it make sense to see comment 25 in response to comment 24 before you've even read comment 24?

No, Zempf, however, but once comment 25 is seen, you need to scroll all the way down to see 26. It just seems that save your first visit to a thread, the "action" should take place at the top of the thread. This is especially true since, I think, a thread can't be "refreshed" without leaving it (?).

There's a link from the front page to the bottom of each thread. If you click on the link inside the brackets eg: "(3 new)" you'll be taken to the bottom of the thread where the new comments are.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can just refresh a thread without leaving it.
