If you had thought talespin was the 'best of the web', sos, you would have posted this to the blue. ;-P

They're both on the same server. Matt's DNS and/or web server are likely configured to route all domains pointing to the server (but not attached to a specified path) to metafilter.com by default.

I used to host the site for Nikolai, but I guess he hasn't moved the domain anywhere.

I can see clearly now the rain has gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that made me crash
It's going to be a bright, bright sunshiny day

Thanks, all! :)

I would just like to point out that the Talespin was highly allegorical and dealt with alot of serious themes like, loss, betrayal, greed, utopia, freedom. Plus, all their characters were animals and they always made the cops pigs.

I know it's not talespin per se, but distantly related. Has anyone else read the Rescue Rangers "of mice and mayhem" fanfic graphic novel. I was surprised at the quality despite not caring about the original source at all. It was a FPP about a year ago, seems worth mentioning.

I found another such domain that duplicated Mefi. Don't remember the name now. How many are there?

Yeah, like Matt said, my TaleSpin fan site used to be on the same server. I intended to move it over months ago, but I ran into a dilemma in which moving it required changing the nameservers, which killed the Web mail service a few people use with the domain. So I decided to keep the mail going and not put the site back up, at least until I figure out a way to make both work simultaneously.
