Even when I agree with the point of view involved, I don't think a post should exist as advocacy. I really believe that more than saying it's about "politics" or whatever, this gets to the heart of the matter. An advocacy post is a post like, say, a post on one's blog. It's an attempt to say your mind, change opinions, whatever. That means the raison d'etre of the post is itself, not its link. The linked page should be something that a lot of people would want to see (and they wouldn't see it on Google News or Yahoo News or CNN or NYT or wherever).
