Fark FireFox plugin - So uhhh... at the risk of calling down all the wrath of hellfire, is there a use for something similar for metafilter?

How to write Firefox extensions. I'd do it myself, but since I'm new to this whole being-a-user-here thing, I'm not quite sure what functionality would be useful.

With a user number like 15666, you'd think sourbrew would be OK with a little hellfire here and there.

There's a metafilter sidebar, and you can put mefi search up in the searchbar, but the search kind of blows so I wouldn't suggest it.

Sinner, you know i actually just noticed that for the first time last night, but you're right i found it oddly entertaining and perhaps more than a little coincidental.
Thanks matt, i'll take a look at what Plutor wrote, but having just installed my first linux distro since redhat 4, i think ill be busy for a while.
