I could make a snarky comment about the Matt Family trying to keep up with MonkeyFilter's #1...
Or, if she's anything like a MetaFilter Feature, she won't be coming out until Mid-June...
Or, I could lobby on behalf of naming the baby Wendy...
Or, add baby pictures to my entry in the MetaFilter Design Contest...
But instead, I'm just going to congratulate the happy (and massively relieved, I assume) couple and start practicing writing MeFi posts in Baby Talk...

So now, in December and until then, sleep. Seriously, just do that, because you won't sleep easy the rest of your life.

I have a feeling there are going to be a lot more anonymous AskMeFi questions like:
If the baby doesn't stop crying after 2 hours, what the hell do I do?
BabyPoopFilter: Is it really supposed to smell that bad? And why the heck is it a yellowy colour?
What is the best movie you've seen this year? The wife and I have about 2 hours of free time this week and we were looking for suggestions of what to watch during that break.
Does anyone know of any kids shows where the theme song won't burrow into my brain for the next 6 months?

If the baby doesn't stop crying after 2 hours, what the hell do I do?

Congratulations to you both. Wonderful news. And welcome to one of the greatest and most overwhelming human adventures.

Congratulations, Matt! And I must add my support of May 1 to that of The God Complex and squealy. My own little boy was born May 1 of this year! And hey, it's Labor Day, after all.

Obviously, "Grep Haughey" is the name.
Yay for new people. Thank you for doing your bit to perpetuate the human race. We slackers in that regard salute you.

I vote for "Hee Haughey" myself, but then again, I've been asked by numerous souls to refrain from naming children.
Congratulations Matt! May 1 would fit in well with many people in my family:
April 30 - mother.
May 1 - her aunt.
May 3 - that very aunt's son.
May 4 - Jedi Day.

Aha! I've been seeing mathowie baby references popping up all over the place today and thought I'd search MeTa for the scoop - and here it is!
I'm so happy for you - congratulations!!
