Old Frasermoo looks radiant - all those Viennese psychotherapists seem to have done a great job. I've known him for donkeys' years and it gladdens my heart he's finally achieved an acceptable level of sanity.
I admit I was slightly unnerved by the top hat - someone who knows his stuff has obviously been able to remove those stubborn, finger-pointing, Pentonville-guaranteeing blood stains.
As all fans of true crime know, this was his headgear when he went on his infamous spree and decapitated half the Starbucks employees in Britain with a rusty Viking axe stolen from from the Victorian and Albert Museum, wearing an artery-flecked t-shirt with the words "Where's my bacon sarnie and cuppa cha, you yankee wankers?"
Let's all pray he's now on the straight and narrow. Even though I suspect the bride has the Battered Wives Emergency Phoneline on her cellphone's first dial. Specially after his monumental sulk when she refused to move into Fred and Rosemary West's former residence as their new marital home - at a knockdown price and boosting an ample cellar where he could store his, er, his wine cellar.
A sweeter, nicer, more caring Frasermoo will be a living proof that people can change, no matter what their criminal record. Of course it will ruin MetaFilter - but is that not a small price to pay? The milk of human kindness may be revolting with instant coffee but it's priceless. :)

Aw, shucks...
*shuffles feet, smiles in an abashed way*
Uh, what?... Never mind.
My congrats as well, and I'm glad this joyous occasion has finally pried Miguel out of the vault into which he had himself nailed last year, allegedly "to get some writing done and contemplate life without the constant interruptions by my admirers," but there are those who claim to have seen sides of beef, cases of fine wine, and bevies of young women being smuggled into what looks suspiciously like a back entrance to the vault. Be that as it may (and I don't think any of us credit those rumors, do we guys?), welcome back to the hurly and the burly, the give and the take, the left and the further left, the madness and the passion we call MetaTalk.
