Coulda swore there was an AskMe about a site that would allow you to punch in a URL and see what the site looks likes on different browsers/platforms... but of course I can't find it. Anyone recall this or am I imagining it?

I'm looking for a post that I swear I saw on AskMe a while ago. It was a long discussion of why pop (soda, fountain drinks, etc) taste better out of Styrofoam cups than waxy paper or plastic (more inside).

Can someone help me find an AskMeFi post? I've spent ages searching and scouring the tags but can't find it. It may have been a year ago or so (not sure of exact date) but the question was about exercises for helping people get to know each other in a big new group - the context may have been a work conference. AskMeFi users suggested a lot of different techniques that a group organiser could employ to get strangers going together. Also if anyone could give advice on how best to find a tricky old post like this in future, please go right ahead.

I'm looking for one or more past AskMe threads in which people shared how weight-gain or weight-loss affected the way they were treated by other people. I know I've read these stories, but I'm just not finding them. It's possible that the they were shared in threads that weren't actually about obesity, but how others perceive us. Can somebody with better search skills help me?

Help me find this AskMe post (what I remember): an American was thinking about traveling abroad, and was curious if, as an American, they would be unsafe/uncomfortable (in regard to foreigners' negative opinions of Americans, etc). I have been searching but to no avail. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would certainly appreciate it!

I lost an askme thread. There was one some time back asking for the source of a sample in a song where someone calls for certain military personnel.

I've tried Google and tried various AskMe tags, but I can't find it. Did I imagine it (including the responses suggesting that the poster look on various stock cue CDs)?

Can anyone help me find a not-quite-so-recent (last six months) AskMe post? It was about someone who suddenly found himself or herself making good money in a steady job and he or she wanted some kind of advice. If I recall, the question actually mentioned the ballpark salary. I'm beginning to think I imagined it -- I've been searching for an hour (job, career, salary, money, making, bringing) and can't seem to find it.
