When and why did AskMe best answer highlighting change from light to dark? I fear change, and the effect is more jarring than I expected it to be. If this isn't something we can toggle, anyone have a Greasemonkey script?

Does the presence of a marked Best Answer in an AskMe keep it alive shorter or longer?

Tiny pony request. On the AskMe front page, a question has a green checkmark next to it if any of the answers has been marked "best answer." If you look at your own history of AskMe coments, there's a green checkmark next to any of your AskMe answers that was marked "best answer." In that same history of your AskMe comments, why not have a green checkmark next to the title of any question in which there have been "best answers"
by anyone else? [more inside]

AskMe pony request: How about an option to receive an email notification when an answer you gave in AskMe has been marked best answer? Or, if notifications aren't a good idea for some reason, how about some way to quickly check (via your profile) which of your answers have been marked best answer?

When an AskMe question has a comment marked as a best answer, a
little tick/check appears next to the post on the front page. What do people think about making that tick a link to the first best answer comment?

My little pony: how much work would be required to turn the "contains answers marked as best" checkmark on the front page of AskMe into a link to the first best answer?

New askMe guideline: Must have a theoretical "Best Answer".

Just curious about something... when someone answers an AskMe question and it gets marked as one of the best answers, shouldn't that also count for them as being favorited by someone? Or... no?

Which AskMefi questions have elicited great responses or answers - the sort that just perfectly answer the question, or those where what seems like a long shot is serendipitously answered by the perfect person? Looking at the "metafilterhistory" tag, I found
this and
this, but are there others?

"Why does eating in a restaurant make me crap my pants?" and
994 other anonymous gems from the Anonymous Ask Metafilter archive. As AskMe readies for it's 1000th anonymous question, the community is hereby polled: How has the feature worked out for the community? Do you ever wonder how
some threads were resolved? And at the risk of seeming too voyeuristic, has anyone ever thought about writing fiction based on the scenario in an anonymous AskMe question?

On the "My Comments" page, is there a way to show if
MY comment was marked best answer?

I'd like a way, beyond "best answer," to give feedback/kudos to users who offer exceptionally helpful AskMe answers. [more inside]

Pony: when browsing the archives of ask.me the navigation for pages says
next page and
previous page. Could it be changed to
older posts and
newer posts? Also the color of links in "best answers" is the same as the answer.

In AskMetafilter, if the tags box extends into a highlighted "best answer" box, the two collide instead of readjusting for each other. This includes a text wrap-around. I demand perfection down to the pixel.

This
Ask me thread has the "Best answer" checked on the main page, but nothing is showing up in the thread. Just thought I'd let you know.

An ability to unmark "Best Answer", I have on several instances accidently clicked the link (it's such a big target). Even a confirmation page would stop this from occuring, I'm not alone right?

This
thread has a checkmark on the front page of AskMe, but no best answers marked inside. Opera on Mac OS 10.3.9.

You can't flag your own replies to an AxeMe
(suck it, haters) as a "Best Answer." This sucks in those rare events you did not get your question answered satisfactorily and you want to leave a resolution for posterity.

so, are there differences between the posting limits (once per week) on ask.mefi and metafilter proper? In other words, once you've posted anywhere on the Mefi network, do you have to wait a week to post elsewhere, or is the posting limit unique to each area?
Also, it would be cool if "best answers" were tallied for each user, and posting frequency tied to it somehow. Or not. Please don't hurt me.

I did not mark
this as best answer. I really, really doubt I did it accidently which is why I'm listing it as a bug. No offense, the answer isn't bad, but the best? I wish to wait.

Another pony is roaming free. It's now possible to mark great answers to questions you've asked on Ask MeFi. Details and screenshot inside.

I'm going to combine two questions into one here since they're related:
1. When did "mark as best answer" show up in AskMe? Sometime in the last few hours, if I'm not mistaken. What is the effect of marking something as the best answer? (Apologies if I missed an announcement)
2. Does asking a question, and then having it deleted, still use up your AskMe quota?
