Ask and main Mefi both reporting " Invalid CFML construct found on line 55 at column 35." on every page I try which is interfering with my late night mefi fix!

When MeFi Music launched, I couldn't upload songs because I'd get this error message: "The MIME type of the uploaded file "application/oct-stream" was not accepted by the server."
Others reported the same problem, and something was done which made my uploads work. However, now I'm getting this message again.

Is it just me, or is the AskMe RSS Feed
reported to be broken on BlogLines more often than not?
"The feed URL returns a page that does not look like an RSS feed. This can be caused by the feed URL being incorrect, or it can be caused by a configuration issue with the server hosting the feed. If this error continues, you should check the feed URL and, if it is wrong, subscribe to the correct URL."

Linefeeds/Carriage returns in My Comments missing? Same in both Firefox 188.8.131.52 and IE 6. I'm not talking about breaks between comments, but within comments.

On AxeMe, if I click "My Posts" (should be "My Questions"), and choose a 1 month time frame, it shows me one 6-month-old quesiton I asked, but not the 7 more recent quesitons (including one I just asked today.) In any other view, no quesitons are displayed at all.

For some reason in my profile
, where it is supposed to say "xx MetaFilter users near this user:" I get "no zip found in the db". I found that strange, as I live in a suburb of DC, but shrugged it off as everyone else living in the cooler parts of town. However, when I got bored and looked into it, I'm 26.87
miles from darksquirrel
. Yet darksquirrel
miles from jenny18
and they show up in each other's zipcode list. Is this a bug, or have I uncovered the fact that my neighborhood has been blackballed by MeFi?

Posting with a malformed anchor tag makes a mess of the preview page, and comment text is gone when you hit Back to fix it. [more details inside]

PST slippage in the blue... Occasionally my time reference on MeFi gets whacked back to PST, though my preferences are EST. When I see the problem, I edit my profile (changing nothing), submit and ta-da, EST. Don't need no pony, just bringing it up. Happens ~ once a month.

I inserted a single quote in a post on accident and the MeFi code that normally would be the rest of the page (i.e. all the buttons and such) showed up in my preview textbox.

Disappearing comment in this
thread: I posted a perfectly normal comment after 40 Watt's first
comment, and I know that I did indeed remember to hit "post"
because, well, I actually saw the comment posted on the screen. But just now, going back to the thread, my comment is gone. Are gremlins afoot? Because certainly my "hey, thanks for the reminder, I'm going to get this for my nephew" couldn't be considered worthy of deletion...?

Does anyone else get a "No Harddisk in Drive" error in Mozilla when you try to follow the main link in this thread
? I don't get that error on the other link in the post, or any of the other links on the blue.

I tried to load up metafilter earlier and it was taking a while. I noticed at the bottom of my explorer window it said something like "Opening page http://www.b4ta.com/metafilter" Then the page failed to load entirely. I'm confused.

The Error Messages are getting more and more frequent in Metatalk. Yes, this is a double post, but sufficiently urgent. The most recent one was: http://metatalk.metafilter.com/comments.mefi/8590#99606
using IE5.0 for Mac.
And yet another error message when I tried to post this on--oh cruel irony!

Editing weirdness. Is it just my lack of standards compliant browser (all I ask for is a browser that is compliant, supports imap mail and runs on linux) or what? Tried to post a comment and previewed. Last night there was nothing to edit "below" and back erased everything. Today at one point I could edit below, then I couldn't although back left text in place. Neither seems to be true here (talk not mefi).

Opera5 shows the "MetaFilter college scholarship" as an off yellow link but it's not clickable. After a quick glance at the HTML it seems Opera doesn't like the negative value, "margin-top:-20px". It looks like there's an unclosed DIV tag around that area too, well, maybe.

Password problems: When I hopped over to MeFi today, I found I wasn't automatically logged in any more. I don't know if that's a MeFi problem itself, as I've had all sorts of weirdness with IE lately on my end. I logged in, no problem. But then when I tried to post a response in a MetaTalk thread, my password wasn't automatically filled in like it usually is. I didn't even notice until I hit "post," at which time I got a yummy ColdFusion error.

D'oh - I just noticed it's not easy (actually, it's not possible) to log out of metatalk. Sorry about that, I'll dig in and see what the problem is this weekend.
