Your better memory is much appreciated

Does anyone remember a post on the blue about teaching English in China, possibly including links to a news story ending with murder and a blog that involved a lot of gratuitous sex with students? It might have actually been deleted for involving too much luridness.

Can't find it.

I'm looking for a member's homepage that was a collection of weird and interesting facts. Can anyone point me in the right direction? [more inside]

Trailers.

I'm trying to find a post from the past year about remodeled Airstream trailers that were for rent in a campground out west like New Mexico or Arizona. Searching has gotten me nowhere. Thanks.

Lost a website for band booking rates

Quite a while ago there was a FPP that had a link to a website that listed the rates for hundreds of musical artists, plus their contact info or a link to their agent. As it turns out, a friend needs this to book an act. Does anyone remember this website?

Can someone help me find an AskMeFi post?

Can someone help me find an AskMeFi post? I've spent ages searching and scouring the tags but can't find it. It may have been a year ago or so (not sure of exact date) but the question was about exercises for helping people get to know each other in a big new group - the context may have been a work conference. AskMeFi users suggested a lot of different techniques that a group organiser could employ to get strangers going together. Also if anyone could give advice on how best to find a tricky old post like this in future, please go right ahead.

I'm looking for one or more past AskMe threads

I'm looking for one or more past AskMe threads in which people shared how weight-gain or weight-loss affected the way they were treated by other people. I know I've read these stories, but I'm just not finding them. It's possible that the they were shared in threads that weren't actually about obesity, but how others perceive us. Can somebody with better search skills help me?

Looking for a picture posted in a deleted thread

Looking for a picture posted in a deleted thread within the past few months, of a cat in mid-bath, captioned "Why do you do this?"

I'm looking for an AskMe question

I'm looking for an AskMe question: someone who was offered a job but doesn't want to respond until they find out if they're going to get their dream job which they also applied for. I think it's pretty recent.

I've been searching the archives for like half an hour. Hope me, Metafilter!

Looking for a video that was linked on AskMe or the Blue.

Looking for a video that was linked on AskMe or the Blue. It was probably AskMe because I believe the poster was asking for identification of the song. The video is mostly animated but features, as the main character, a Down's Syndrome man. It's very psychedelic and dreamlike. The highlight of the video to me was when the main character turns a cloud into a loaf of bread while driving down the road in a convertible. I've searched Google, AskMe and the Blue all to no avail. Please help!! Thanks.

I am having trouble finding a post

I am having trouble finding a post to a cool web tool (java, maybe?) where you chose a parameter or some colors, then dragged your mouse around to make spline-y funky patterns. It seems it would have been especially useful to make cool mathy looking web backgrounds. I haven't the foggiest idea what search terms to even start with, and those I've tried have come up empty. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

There was a post on Ask Mefi a couple of days ago

There was a post on Ask Mefi a couple of days ago about professional/personal sites. I know it was posted after my "online portfolios" question because I was thinking of it while reading the thread. Thing is, I can't find that thread anymore - not by searching, not by going through the archives. Anyone know what happened to that thread?

Does anyone remember a link to an online publisher that was posted in the last couple of months?

Does anyone remember a link to an online publisher that was posted in the last couple of months? It was a print/pay as you go thing. As in, if someone orders the book, they print, send and charge. I've searched MeFi and have nothing.

I can't find this book collection app

There was a link in the blue to a cool web app for putting your book collection online. It would automatically pull a cover image from amazon or somewhere, and had a very clean interface. It did social web app stuff too. But its name was too clever and I've forgotten it. Metatalkers, I seek your help...

Looking for a (deleted?) AskMeFi thread. One of the first responses sarcastically mentioned being annoyed at smudges on his gold bars...

Does anyone remember an AskMe thread

Does anyone remember an AskMe thread about people who sleep with their feet sticking out of the covers? My searching skills are failing me...

I'm trying to find a link that was posted in the blue maybe three to four months ago.

I'm trying to find a link that was posted in the blue maybe three to four months ago. It was a WiFi site that had detailed maps of hot spots (I believe it was by lat/long). Anyone remember this? Sorry I can't be more specific. Thanks.

I can't find the page with google

[moved from the green] A while back I remember a metafilter user replying to some FPP with a link to their site with photos of street garbage they had taken. The photos were pretty good, and the captions were very funny. I can't find the page with google, and a search of the archives isn't helping, anyone know who I'm talking about?

Can you help me find this thread?

Some time ago I saw something here on Metafilter about one or more University Campuses (in California?) that laid out their sidewalks to follow pedestrian traffic patterns, possibly after monitoring said patterns for awhile. This may or may not have been the main topic of the thread. Can you help me find this thread?

Lost & Found

I'm confused by this Ask Mefi question and just as confused by the "best" answers. Although a question is asked in the first sentence, the focus of the post is to use Ask Mefi as some sort of artsy fartsy lost and found.

I've searched but can't find it.

There was a post in the last few months that was a link to a photography site, mostly girls of a goth theme. The first few letters were "Phil" or something of that nature. It also mentioned Suicide Girls. I've searched but can't find it. Anybody remember the post and enough of the link to allow me to find it again? I'm trying to show it to a friend.

Can anyone help me find a not-quite-so-recent (last six months) AskMe post?

Can anyone help me find a not-quite-so-recent (last six months) AskMe post? It was about someone who suddenly found himself or herself making good money in a steady job and he or she wanted some kind of advice. If I recall, the question actually mentioned the ballpark salary. I'm beginning to think I imagined it -- I've been searching for an hour (job, career, salary, money, making, bringing) and can't seem to find it.

I'm looking for a particular thread on MeFi

OK, hoping this is the right place to ask this. I'm looking for a particular thread on MeFi; it was about dental tourism and chronicled the author's experience with a much less expensive system in South America. I found the linked article very interesting. Can't find the original post now; checked Google and MeFi search for all the obvious queries. Anyone remember this one, or did I not see it here?

Looking for thread on [Bystander Effect]

Can't seem to find a thread I recall reading here. It was about some social science experiments correlating the size of a group of people appealed to for help with the likelihood that volunteers would actually come out of an appeal.

Will someone help me find a thread?

Will someone help me find a thread? I tried searching but my memory of the actual text is very vague. The link I'm looking for (sometime recently, like no earlier than last summer I think) was to a series of arrest mug shots of the same lady over a series of years, showing the effects of long-term drug use (and probably malnutrition and generally leading a street-hooker life). My son needs images for a school drug project, and these were the saddest (not to mention scariest) I ever remember seeing.

Thanks very much!
