a del.icio.us-like portion of the site?

Why doesn't metafilter add a del.ico.us-like portion of the site which shows interrelated links between sites that have been linked and tagged by users on the various metafilter domains, including users own homepages, projects, etc.

Maybe what we need is some kind of API to let people create their own things.

With a cool API or db dump, you could find out who answers what kind of questions on AskMe, check the tags, and come up with top 5 tags (ie, field of expertise) for that user. Not sure why on earth I had the idea but now I can dump it in this thread instead of keeping it in my head. BrainHack!11
