I removed the two MACBOOK PRO links from threads where they didn't belong. Is it Macworld time again?

I'm really surprised there hasn't been an FPP yet. I'm not saying there should (or shouldn't) be one, but it seems like all the Apple fanboys are sleeping in today.

MACs suck. Only lamers who think they are being cool use that crap.

heh heh heh. keynote-related hard-ons abound.

You didn't get them all. At this rate you will be chasing The Jesse Helms all over the site.

Yeah, for fuck's sake, just ban his ass already.

Is that what they marketing boys call an assroots campaign?

Give us a break, Jesse. Save it for Digg.

I removed the ones pointed out here, and gave him a time out. Email me when you're sober The Jesse Helms and we'll talk!

Poor kid. The psychedelicious Web 1.1 <hr> thingie must've gone to his head.

Interesting. Once the links have been removed, this makes no sense whatsoever.

It never did.

If a comment is removed before the cabal can read it, does it make a snark?
posted by goodnewsfortheinsane at 9:54 AM on January 11, 2006

There is no cabal.

The true Mefite will have "gotten" it. Oh, and Matt has new clothes.

i am the one true mefite, and i find little more annoying than links to comments that no longer exist. but, ya know, that's just me.

Sorry if linking to Apple made a couple of users hysterical, I overlooked the Macworld thread yesterday.

There were formerly some comments in various threads that said nothing more than "MACBOOK PRO" and linking to this website. I actually thought it was pretty funny, although I can't explain why.
posted by brain_drain at 11:23 AM on January 11, 2006

cram it, kevin.
posted by crunchland at 11:42 AM on January 11, 2006

Funny randomness being a better explanation of misplaced out-of-context links than overlooking the thread.
