hmmm, doesn't look bad in netscape
I think you need some blink tags, an embedded wav file, and an animated gif for the complete geocities effect.

damn. why didn't I think of this before, I love style hacks like this. I figure if it remains just in the profile, it won't be hurting anyone.
Damn, now I know I'm going to be playing with this tonight :)

eww. I wouldn't have a problem if you didn't kill the top nav and logo (so at least people can find their way back).

Actually, doesn't really matter if the top nav is there or not, since the first instinct many people would have would be to power off their computer. Anything to get away.

Gleemax, you're going to Hell. I've decided.
I literally screamed when that popped up on my screen.

Say, Gleemax, could I have your mother's address? I'd like to slap her for the breast milk you were so obviously deprived of as an infant.

I don't understand how this works. You stuck a style element in the middle of the body and it took? On what browsers? I have to try this.

I braved it again and you're right, <style> </style> right in the profile.

This is bad. I just totally screwed up [another site]. Browsers shouldn't do this.

in the way of reference material, here is a screenshot archive of some of the css 'battles' from dreamless.org (back when it existed)
(background info at rhizome, however as i type this they appear to be having some backend trouble)

Yet another good reason for standards in our browsers, rodii.

Is this thread a cat-joke? You know: when all the cats in the room suddenly look in the same direction, as if an ogre were clumping up the front walk to wreak havoc on the household. Alarmed, because they appear to be, you look too. There's nothing there---nothing, NOTHING! You turn back to see that every cat is now washing or sleeping or eating or looking studiously at some speck on the floor. You know, deep down, they are all laughing themselves sick. Ha, ha! Made ya look!
Okay, I looked. There's nothing there---nothing, NOTHING!
Cat-jokes. *sigh* Cats are so slap-stick!
