Better than Google Images? November 6, 2001 10:49 PM   Subscribe

Help: can anybody point me to the thread where they discussed various image-search engines better than google's? I think the original post was about one that used some sort of fuzzy logic system instead of just keywords.

I think the thread you are looking for was kicked off with a link to the wonderful "Picsearch"

I tried to search for it, but the search keeps timing out just at the moment. Hopefully someone else will have more luck.

signal and lucien - I think you mean this thread. Btw, I don't think Picsearch is as good as Google. And Google isn't that good either. But it's exciting that they get better every week.

I've been receiving a lot of image search hits on my web site from alltheweb.com lately. You could try that.

Image searching is pretty tough. I am always surprised at how well Google's does.

Thanks Miguel. I think you are probably right, I think that Google is better. But I also like the way Picsearch is organised. I've found some good stuff there. (no, not that sort of "good stuff") It's a good time-waster.

Unfortunately, Picsearch doesn't seem to be "getting better each week"
