Why was tpoh's post re Terry Jones' bit about grammar and war deleted? Or is it only sleeping? Off pining for the fjords?

Well, I'm sorry, but it's now set in stone - you've read the guidelines - and I now have no choice but to go out of my way to make it as long-running as I possibly can.

Btw, does anyone know which Monty Python episode that "pining for the fyords" reference comes from? And hey, everbody - what's your favourite episode? ;)

miguel, are you being serious? it's the dead parrot sketch.
I'm partial to "The Ministry of Silly Walks" myself.

I did a search first. Honest. As I do just before I post anything that ends up being double posted.

Argh.

Oh yes? And what other metaphors for death are aired in that particular episode? Does anyone thing black comedy has a future? Is John Cleese still funny? why did his psychiatrist die then?

(Nah, machaus, I was just trying to extend this thread's life. Although I do honestly think the "Ministry of Silly Walks" was the funniest of the funniest, though it melds in my mind with Basil Fawlty goose-stepping in the Fawlty Towers "The Germans['don't mention the war']" episode...

The first python I ever saw, when I was around 10 or 11, was "Blancmange Playing Tennis." Perhaps the most bizarre introduction one could have.

To this day, I've always wanted to try a blancmange--y'know, a little payback.

It doesn't have to be kept going, Miguel my friend. It can stop. Python, dreams, bunnies....This is MetaTalk, not Talk.

Miguel's hit the crackpipe a little too often tonight. Break the rocks into smaller pieces, my friend.

Just a quick mention of the NayVee sketch, as inappropriate as it might be for this forum. Oh, and the Long John Silver impersonators vs. Gynecologists football match.

doh! and Olympic Hide and Go Seek.

I'll stop now.
