Here is a great question that didn't get resolved because it wasn't the right answer the questioner wanted.

Do you have a question, caller?

When an effort encounters any obstacle, give up immediately especially if the effort has to do with complex, rapidly changing technology and online gaming when there are thousands of people around the globe who dedicate their time to overcoming the obstacles imposed by large corporations just to say it was possible and "Fuck You!" to the companies.

Give up immediately.

After you give up on this question head on over to mine and expand on or verify mkb's answer.

The question was asked yesterday and the OP admits it may be impossible to answer. What's your point parmanparman?

C'mon, John, we're already doing our best to longboat the other recent MeTas. We don't need a new one.

That is a great question that may never be resolved because parmanparman probably won't tell us the answer he wanted.

This has nothing to do with Nazi kittens, taters, or in-jokes of any kind. Flagged.

LONGBOAT IS NOT A VERB.

(No really, it's not. It was always a literal longboat. Not a metaphor.)

I fuckin' hate when someone posts a thread which makes little sense without explanation, and doesn't come back to battle the detractors. HATE.

I'm jumping into my metaphorical metaLongboat so I can paddle upstream to this metaTalk about that metaAsk. What? What was the question again? I seem to have gotten stuck on a hidden metaSandbar. Halp!

You should point it at the black and withered core of your being.

Are the Quake Live maps ones that have been used before, or am I full of fail? Or both?
posted by vapidave at 3:21 AM on March 1, 2009

Idiom, prescription, blah blah blah. It's still not a verb. Had I known that someone would try to verb it, I would have just kept my longboat at home.
