I can see the favorites this comment has, and it shows up in my side bar because it was made by a contact, but the comment has been deleted.
Glad to see they are still around, sounds like you deserved them.

Yeah... comments in deleted threads also show up in users' comment histories, but that may be a feature not a bug.

We remove favorites on deleted posts and comments around 3am every day. We have that lag built in just in case we happen to undelete something. It's rare, but in case that happens the favorites would still be there.
But yeah, it shouldn't show up in your Contact Activity sidebar once deleted. We'll get that fixed up.

This sounds like a feature in need of a slight tweak. Just change the message to: "dersins had a comment with 16 favorites deleted from MetaFilter. 2 hours ago. Ha ha!"

For the record, I'm having the exact same problem with those favorites showing up on my sidebar, so it's not an isolated thing.

Damn Ajax. Do you know how hard it is to hand-forge a link to add a favorite to a deleted comment? Not worth the lulz, that's how hard it is.
I long for the days of innocence when everything was an HTTP POST and people could just favorite deleted comments without having to jump through hoops.
