No Alexander Haig obitfilter? Really?
This is fascinating. Here's a guy with a fascinating past, a 4-star general who never held a major command, an easy target for snark because of his behavior as Secretary of State ... hell, William Safire devoted a whole column to his linguistic foibles. The NY Times played along beautifuly by quoting, in the second paragraph of his obituary, "He knew, Reagan’s aide Lyn Nofziger once said, that “the third paragraph of his obit” would detail his conduct in the hours after President Reagan was shot, on March 30, 1981," and then meeting their journalistic obligation by discussing his conduct in 1981 in the 3rd paragraph.
So how is it that he didn't even rate a FPP today? Curious as to whether or not middling posts were deleted, or whether, simply, nobody cared.

Well, I suppose that I could've, but that's not the point. I'm genuinely curious about the meta-issue of why Haig wasn't discussed on an FPP while, for example, Charlie Wilson was.

When you see a good topic for a fpp, and you see that nobody else has done one, what you're supposed to do is write a FPP, not write a metatalk post about why someone else should write a fpp.
