the option to be notified October 5, 2000 1:17 PM   Subscribe

Matt -

One thing that would be cool(and i thoughtyou had mentioned before) is the option to be notified when someone has posted to a thread that you had already posted in.

Examp: I posted a comment under the 'Portman poses' thread. User cjd posts a comment in the same thread.

Based on my preferences it shoots me an email notifiying me that the thread has been updated.

we've got this working with the evolt code pretty easily. if you want the code, lemme know.

thanks man :)

well I've held off on implementing this because I don't want to be a spam cannon. Some threads get 100+ responses and I wouldn't want to email people when new posts arrive.

I'd use this.. i typically follow closely only a 2 or 3 threads a week, and they're often slow starters, like my latest post, or slow finishers. Hell, for all I know, people could still be talking about baggy pants right?

rather than notifitcation for each and every thread i've posted in, i'd like a "notify me" checkbox/button on the link detail page.
