... you dream about getting important mefi mail. I woke up this morning, slightly distraught and disappointed over something that never happened and not even remembering who emailed me in the dream. Seriously, they should just DSM mefi - it's a real addiction disorder, people.

...if your first thought upon reading this is to MeFimail Foci a funny message, but then you think it would be funnier if everyone did it, then you realize that maybe that wouldn't be so funny if it was alot of people so you post a comment to the thread to encourage some fun while reminding everyone not to be an asshole about this (and probably not even do it), 'cause there's always two assholes, maybe three, in this crowd.
Then you don't correct the 'alot' misspelling, for more fun.

I ... I've had nightmares about MeTa doubles too :( That and assholes but the asshole dreams are actually pretty nice now that I think about it. Oh well.

I would just like you all to know that a few months ago I had a dream where Metafilter won the Nobel Peace Prize; thwarting human trafficking and facilitating global communication were specifically cited as the reasons for the award. When I heard the news I was so excited that I screamed, and while I was in a room full of people no one else seemed to react or care. I spent the rest of my dream looking for my one friend who would care so we could both be excited together, but I looked and looked and just couldn't find him. Then I woke up.

The last thing you see after you've turned out the lights and just before you drop off to sleep is the green of AskMe scrolling by-- and you can read some of the words.
