MeFi Pick 'em: Fantasy Football For Lazy People September 6, 2011 8:28 AM   Subscribe

MeFi NFL Pick 'em is on. Details inside.

I put this in the NFL fantasy football thread, but there are only 3 teams and I'm wondering if people actually saw the information there.

Yahoo league. Group ID#: 16154 Group Name MeFi Picks Good password is bacon. Because I love bacon. But that's not the point.

Dropping the 2 week's lowest scores and picking with the spread in mind. Go sign up, it'll be fun and not as time consuming as having a "real" team to worry about.

yay confidence points yay!

I wound up winning the MeFi league last season, so I reckon I ought to attempt a title defense. I'll join sometime this evening. Thanks for setting this back up.

Spreads make it a lot harder for me, but that's just about me showing why I don't bet with actual money. Confidence points would probably do the same, so thanks to Ufez Jones for your second post so I didn't competely get scared away.

I've signed up with my MeFi name. Thanks.

I'm in. And dammit if I'm not going to pick Buffalo as an upset favorite every single week until they win one and then I'll look like a genius.

That may not take long, BOP, given that they're facing Todd Haley's myopic misChiefs in Week 1. Hell of a way to run a training camp, Todd.

Last year I picked Atlanta every week. I think there were only 2 or 3 where that didn't work out.

Buffalo isn't as bad as everyone thinks. They lost a lot of close games last year.

I agree. That's why I'm picking them. Cinicinnati, OTOH, is every bit as bad as everyone thinks.

I see no reason not to think I'll suck as bad this year as last. I'm like Tim Tebow. I suck, but you're a better person for having been around me.

Speaking of Tebow hating, I'm actually pulling for the Browns lately, because Colt McCoy got ignored on account of everybody falling all over Mr. "better person for having been around".

Go Browns. Gimme some o' that .500 love. Eight and eight baby.

Even I, a Sooner who is contractually obligated to hate Longhorns, can support this proposition.

In his defense, without OTAs, Roethlisberger didn't really remember how you get points in football. He thought it had something to do with giving the ball to the guys running towards you.
