Awesome job dude, congratulations!! The Indy article uses the phrase "Nazi Vienna" which made me think of a Nazi version of the Ultravox song. Stupid Brain, always getting things wrong like this!

But well done for winning! Do you get something more than the kudos of winning? i.e. money, a grant, anything?

The prize site says digaman is £20,000 richer today.

And thank you for writing the book. As a father with a 10 year old daughter on the spectrum, it has been invaluable for our whole family. It's also been an incredibly powerful tool for changing the culture's perceptions of neurodiversity. I just can't thank you enough.

I also misread that it was the Samuel L Jackson award, and wondered about its content.

Thanks so much, folks! Sorry it took me so long to get here. I really appreciate it.

For more media coverage of NeuroTribes than anyone would ever want to read/watch/hear, here you go: http://stevesilberman.com/media/.

But mostly: THANK YOU. It's been a wild ride, and I'm really glad the enthusiasm about my book has cast light on the plight of autistic people and their families, and the gifts of their atypical minds, as well as the challenges they (and we) face.
