Bruce H. passed away

My brother and long time user "Bruce H." passed away at his home on 6 January, 2018 and asked me to let folks know so that his contacts would not be left wondering "whatever became of Bruce H.?" He was as the oldest son in a very large family and we all miss him dearly. Thank you all - Kerstin

Hi Kerstin and family, if you are reading this, the periods you see are a way to signify a moment of silence because your brother was respected and appreciated and we are sad he is gone. He answered magnitudes more questions than he asked. And this one is so incise it belongs on expensive t-shirts, and cheap ones for that matter.

I think you're right and he's wrong, but arguing about it with him did neither of you any good.

I answer a lot of food related questions and so did Bruce, so he's been part of my mental askmetafilter regulars cast for a while. Always well-spoken and vastly more concise than I could ever be. Thank you for letting us know of his passing, and I hope that while you grieve you do yourselves the kindness of remembering to eat.

Awww Kerstin I am so sorry. That was so thoughtful of him to have you leave us a note. I really loved the way he was practical, helpful and cared without getting too overly invested in the nonsense of stuff. He had been here a long time and always in an understated but informed way. I am sorry for your family's loss. He'll be missed around here.
