Bookmark exchange thanks.

In this post Shepherd suggested a book mark exchange and mine arrived today. Thanks to Shepherd for both idea and execution and to everyone who sent in bookmarks. I got a lovely selection, including a library one you can use to track your reading (I mean, I use StoryGraph, but more manual methods are also good) and 3 bookmarks for non Anglophone bookshops. If other people taking part could check in, that would be lovely.

I got mine today here in London! A lovely selection from the Thousand Islands, San Francisco, Dallas, Collingwood Ontario and one unknown. Thanks so much bookmarkers, and to Shepherd!

I'm glad they're arriving! It was a lot of fun to do, and to see the vast variety of bookmarks that came in. Licking 40 envelopes in one session is not an experiment I'm in a hurry to repeat, though.

Also, had I thought this up two weeks later I would have tried to tie it into the MeFi fundraiser -- if this current model continues, maybe I'll try to do some sort of other coordinated exchange thing like this next summer, but with an encouraged buy-in fee to support the site. Uh, give them money!

Got mine today! All were anonymous which brings in some mystery to the project!

Just for asking... coasters? Do your local bars have localized branded cheap cardboard coasters? Is that a thing? We're not drinkers, so I'd have to poke around here, but that could be fun for another round.

I was out of town last week, but arrived back this weekend to and envelope filled with bookmarks from exciting places like Brooklyn (the original Brooklyn, not Brooklyn, Iowa), and Kingston (again, Ontario, not Iowa). Thank you, Shepherd, for the idea and doing all the work!

Mine arrived last week and I love them! Mine are from Tucson, Detroit, Sherbrooke QC, Baie-Saint-Paul QC, and Toronto.

Heh; just yesterday I was taking a book with me to the laundromat, and instead of just deciding to remember what chapter I was on, I thought "hang on....I now have several bookmarks and I can use one!"
