Any chance of a set of guidelines?

I've had three friends asking me what "hoops we have to jump through" to become members of MetaFilter now that the new process is in place. Any chance of a set of guidelines?

Either that, or we can start talking about building an assault course for the new signups... ;)

Hoop #1: READ THE THREAD ABOUT WHAT HOOPS YOU HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH.

Hoop #2: WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?

Hoop #3: Accept "the insideous right wing conservative bias on metafilter", or suffer the supreme consequences!

I should point out that the spelling of "insideous" is Quonsar's and not mine. However, I'm sure that he was only making a play on the words "insidious" and "hideous", but felt the need to explain away such spelling inconsistencies. Ahem.

I dunno, but I think this thread has the potential to generate 82 opinions, 95 and a half snarks, at least 20 word-by-word dissections of what mathowie previously mentioned, 2 score-settlings, and a poem from troybob.

So it's good.

You've had three friends, twine42? That's nothing. I once had a week's worth of middle-aged, drunken, cigar-puffing Cuban guaracheras, all said to called Lola, in one single day at the races. ;)
