Could there be a feature that automatically posts the nude picture of the poster when a disparaging comment about anyone's physical appearance is made?

This place is a mess. I feel like stavros, but WHAT.THE.FUCK.

I feel slightly better.

You don't openly display/flaunt object X on national FREAKING television unless you wish to invite discussion and commentary on object X.

So she deserves what brung she.

But doesn't the same go for people who criticize body parts on the international freaking internet?

And whether or not there is license to do it, is it something we ought to participate in. That's the question. Seems a little shallow, not to mention irrelevant. That said, it's not too big a deal to me, in the grand scheme of things.

At first thought I WANT this feature because I imagine you all as cute.

My second thought is, you're probably not all cute, so I don't want this feature.

Yeah, at least twice, also. Once in the blue and once here. It's bad enough making a topic in metatalk that's a joke, but using someone else's joke for your own metatalk post is just beyond the pale.

My original WHAT.THE.FUCK was firmly directed at the fire you left me. I think the many of the comments are distasteful (I pointed out what example in the thread itself) but are hardly worth a metatalk discussion, if in fact that's what this thread is designed for. Personally, I'd axe this thread before I axed that one.

Maybe we can just post naked pictures of those of us who are cute? (Plus all the women.)

There could be, but if there is, I haven't seen it around. If I do, I'll let you know.

You poor deluded creature. Trust me, a naked mefi spread would look like something out of Heironymous Bosch.

Besides, it's not like the 'net's short of nudity, anyways.

None of you are worthy of viewing the glorious majesty that is my wang.

Leave your outdated word processor out of this.

Her arrest in a separate incident lead to the discussion, she was not arrested for flashing her boobs.

Speaking of "requests", someone point me to the "monster" the title said within.

I'd like to say I got the Mayor Curley lifestyle shot before pixelation, apropos of nothing about year ago. Didn't take no thread.

This thread is like that horrible next day after a drunken binge where you slowly remember all the awful things you did the night before as you smoke your first cigarette in the morning.

majcher, I have precisely that same desk. You'll be happy to know that it's held up for several years of hard use. But put some extra screws into the brackets that hold the keyboard drawer to the underside of the desktop or the weight of your mouse arm will eventually rip it right off. And while you're at it put some damn pants on.

MetaFilter: "The naked part just sort of happened".

Thank you, majcher; you've cheered my day.

George_Spiggott, actually, that desk turned out to be an amazing piece of crap. You're right about the keyboard drawer - it snapped right off after about six months of regular use. The edge along the front is *sharp*, which is not the best for tender nerd forearms, and got sharper once the cheap plastic edging started to come off. On top of everything else, it's a huge bitch to disassemble and reassemble, requiring four different kinds of screwdrivers, and a degree in non-euclidean geometry. Eventually, when we moved, I just gave it away, and went back to the classic filing cabinet/door solution. (Same thing with the chair, actually. A $30 yoga ball beats the hell out of many chairs that cost ten times as much.)

And besides, that desk made me look fat.

Thanks for the wikipedia link john, that was actually kind of enlightening. This is kind of disturbing though (SFW I think).
