"Older"/"Newer" links at the top of the page June 25, 2001 6:25 PM Subscribe
I would just LOVE it if the "Older"/"Newer" links were up at the top of the page as well (in a fixed location). That way I could easily to the next thread without having to scroll down or go Back...
Oh yeah, they only work on the main Metafilter threads (because I'm lazy). Use 'em in metatalk and you'll end up in Metafilter's long lost past.
And that should say tested. Ugh.

Damn you Alternate Browser wonks (-:
If you browse with your hotlist open, you can create a folder for bookmarklets and then add the two above by
right click : Add Link To Bookmarks
And then activate them by double clicking. I tried it out in Opera 5 and it seemed to work.

Sometimes boomarklets work in IE5/Mac, sometimes not. I've never figured out why.

IE5/Mac's JavaScript implementation has what I would refer to as "a few idiosyncracies."

Thanks alan. yeah, Opera usually does fine with bookmarklets although there are a few bugs like the text selection method (which I can't remember the function for) that BlogThis uses. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that anymore...

Not test yet in Netscape. I accidently hosed 4.7 the other day (I swear officer, it just fell over the edge, I had nothing to do with it) and havn't had a chance to reinstall.
