Strange problem adding tags to a post in the blue.
weird, worked fine for me.
oh damn, I see the problem -- I put in code to block tags with a user's own username in them, and grateful is in yours. heh.

Probably to keep people from spoofing other posts.

That looks like the reason, since I tried to spoof mat and it stripped out a few choice tags, notably the <div> and <span> tags.

Not meaning to mess with things too badly. I had tried this several years ago and successfully spoofed CrazyUncleJoe. Glad to see that's been closed.

I totally understand the need for the code to block tags containing a user's own username, but wasn't there a metatalk thread a few years ago showing a correlation between usernames and thread topics? I did a half-hearted search and couldn't find it, but the general consensus was that stavrosthewonderchicken tends to post about chickeny things, while five fresh fish gravitates towards, uh, fishier topics.
