I find that I move in and out of Metafilter and MF participation as the circumstances of my life dictate, but this last time, tipping my toe back in, I'm struck by how comfortable and affirming it feels to reacquaint myself with this part of the world. I know this place is the product of many people (and mods; the best moderation on the web), so I figured I'd thank you all. Thanks for making this wonderful place.

Howdy, folks. As some of you may recall, there is a virtual stroll (amble, arch...ery, ramble) from San Francisco to Japan going on. The first IRL listing has expired. The new IRL listing has dropped us to 3 participants from 11. That is fine but perhaps you meant to join up to log your walking (skipping, etc.) time for fun and forgot. It's time again for that weird thing we do, which is program 72 hours of specials, bad Christmas movies, MST3K episodes and other things. It's MST Club's 2020 Holiday Video Marathon! We usually put this in for intermittent yuletide jollies and destress, to help people relax at an often frustrating time of year. This year, with so many people sensibly staying home for the holidays, it promises both to be less and more stressful than usual. Anyone can come by and watch weird stuff with us, members or not! Earlier this year someone made a post about quarantine self-care - I think it was on the green. I have done multiple searches via both metafilter and google, and nothing is coming up. I think recommendations included self scalp massage, yoga, and maybe some virtual therapy options? If you are able to find it I would love to know what search technique you used. Thank you!
