Can either the titles of political posts include a marker that they are political or have the hovertext or some other indicator in the Contact Activity feed say it is political (#potus45) to save me a click and instant click away? [more inside]
My first MetaTalk post, and alas, it's a Friday afternoon pony request for the queue. I think it would be nice to be able to filter my Contact Activity to exclude activity on threads with specific tags. The election threads (yes, of course that's what I'm talking about) have been a lifesaver, and I'm spending most of my MetaFilter time on them. But my Contact Activity is also completely taken over by highly-favorited comments in those threads, usually topical but transient, and I'd like to be able to see what else is happening on MeFi. And I think others might like this feature too. [more inside]
In the front page "contact activity" section, if one of your contacts has a best answer, it specifies the AskMetafilter question where the answer appears. I wonder, can something similar be done for "has a comment with X favorites," instead of just saying "in AskMetafilter" or "in MetaFilter"?
Would it be possible to have the "Contact Activity" feed available as RSS? I always forget it's there until i happen to be on the main page and notice that my friends have been posting cool stuff.
Is there something wrong with the timestamps on Contact Activity? [more inside]
If a contact's account is closed, either because they chose to disable it or they got banned, can (should?) that show up in the "Contact Activity" sidebar?
Would it be possible to crank up the contrast between read and unread links in the "Contact Activity" column? Often half of the words are highlighted and it's a very crowded small space. I have no idea if it can be done easily and if not, I can still squint.
the new contacts page is leaving me wanting... [more inside]
What's the point of "[Your Contact] just added [other member] as a contact."? Why should I care about that? I can understand highlighting the posts/fpps/best answers of my contacts but this just seems overkill. I'm casting my vote for removing this option. [more inside]
When editing contact information, would it be possible for the edit to not show up in Contact Activity as a new contact? [more inside]
