Does anyone remember a post on the Blue that was talking about a theory that depression is an adaptation and/or (to use a metaphor) the same program that your body runs when you're sick, because it's treating emotional pain like physical pain, so we need to slow down and stay in bed until it's over. I believe this was either a story posted to the blue or a comment on the blue, featuring a story of a young man on the subway who happened to be black. When a few other black kids were being slightly disruptive, he was also instructed to get out even though he wasn't with them. It wasn't until the narrator (who is white) intervened that the police let him stay on the train. [more inside]

A couple of months (weeks? years?) ago, there was an excellent AskMe question and discussion about things for couples to do at home. Suggestions included things like "play Uno" and "watch the entire first season of LOST". I can't find it anymore, because I have no idea what to search for. Any help?
