Has "logout" been removed?
Did there used to be a "logout" link next to the username right above the comment box? [more inside]
Dammit! Logged myself out again.
Is it really necessary to have more than one logout link when you are posting a comment or post? I refer to the Posting as: [username] (logout) right above the post textbox. More than once recently I have been aiming for the textbox with the mouse and clicked on the logout link by mistake. (Why anyone would actually want to log out of Metafilter is beyond me, but also fodder for a different post.)
Seriously, once a page up at the top is enough, no? Logging out should be a deliberate act.
Why am I being logged out?
When I go from one area of the site to another- for example, from the AskMe front page to the MetaTalk front page- I suddenly find myself logged out. Is this a Known Issue? What can I do do fix it? [more inside]

Logged out in Chrome
When using Metafilter with Chrome (on Windows XP), I seem to get logged out frequently. Has anyone else noticed this? [more inside]
Missing timestamp
When logged out, posts to Music and The Blue lack the timestamp inside.
Captcha borked
Captcha/Login/'badlogin.cfm' errors...
1.) If you log in correctly and the captcha is not correct, you will still be logged in when you go to the index page.
2) When you enter an incorrect captcha, you're directed to a page that simply says 'Captcha not correct!' ... not the badlogin.cfm page.
3) If you input your password incorrectly and are directed to the badlogin.cfm page, and then you input everything correctly and hit log in, it will direct you to a page that says "Contact matt if this error keeps happening" ... every time. ;)
Took me like 2-3 minutes to log in today. :-P

Can't logout?
I can't logout from the blue, I suspect because of the Red Cross link. I'm using an outdated version of Firefox, has anyone else noticed this?
The username/logout bit aren't working for me on the blue.
The username/logout bit aren't working for me on the blue. Running the cursor over them looks like it can't detect they should hyperlink. Something to do with the Red Cross donation thing perhaps?
Can't log out of the site.
Can't log out of the site. Both at w*rk and a 'Net cafe, clicking "logout" doesn't actually log me out -- just takes me to the front page. Right-clicking "logout" and opening it in another window does seem to actually log me out. FYI.
I can't comment or post
A MeFi newbie question. I tried deleting cookies, but I can't find a way to post/comment nor can I find a way to get back to the references page. Is this a *feature* for New Users, or did I do something wrong on say the Preferences page, or what?
Can't log out
Am I the only one having trouble logging out? I click "logout", and it just spins me around to the homepage, and I'm still logged in. Tried closing the browser, rebooting, etc. No dice. This has happened on multiple computers (public ones, unfortunately) that have previous had no problems with logging out.
I can click on "Logout" and it seems to go ok, but I'm not logged out
I can click on "Logout" and it seems to go ok, at least it doesn't spawn any kind of error message. But when the page reloads, I'm still logged in...

Logout does not appear to be working quite right.
Logout does not appear to be working quite right. Logging out of MeFi doesn't appear to change my cookies in any way. Logging out of metatalk gives "HTTP/1.0 404 Object Not Found". (using Mozilla 0.9.4, if that matters)
Logout - this does not appear to be working in metatalk
Logout - this does not appear to be working in metatalk. Using IE 5/Win2000, i select the logout link and i get redirected to the homepage where it appears that i am logged out. However, if i select a thread, when i enter that thread on the http://metatalk.metafilter.com/thread.cfm? page, i am still logged in. i do not believe it is a cache issue.
MetaTalk login logout bug report
More logging-into-MetaTalk pain and dismay...
I'm at a new job as of this week and so am using a new computer, and I can't log in completely (it seems) to MetaTalk... I can log in and show up as logged in on the front page of MT or on a category main page, but when I click through to a thread there's no logged-in indicator and no posting form.
Similar/related to a problem where I can't seem to log *out* of (some pages on) MetaTalk, from home.
Matt, I emailed you about the latter a month or two ago, not sure if you got it though... if you did & are aware of the problem, please disregard this bug report and just work on getting me that pony.

I can't seem to logout of MeFi using the logout button
I can't seem to logout of MeFi using the logout button. The only way seems to be for me to manually delete the cookie. If I don't, then the next time I enter MeFi, or if I refresh the page, I remain logged in.
I am currently using a pretty crappy old shared PC running MSIE 5.01 and Win95. Could this be my problem?

Error on logout, refresh
I read MeFi on a shared computer, so I tend to log out right after I post something. But whenever I log out then try to reload the front page, I get an error. The message is inside.
New user message appears in error
I've been a user for many months and posted many links and comments (54 and 75, to be exact). However, when I try to post a new link, I get the new user message that I can't post main page links yet. What's up with that?
