In the current Super Tuesday thread, an alarming derail emerged regarding the order in which people put things on their feet. Is there consensus amongst MeFites on the order, or are there significant variations? [more inside]

Recent Activity is very close to Best Of with my fast but erratic fingers. Best Of goes to a different page. Do you think it would work better if Best Of was moved to the end of the top row after Random to avoid this, or is it truly just me? [more inside]

For this thread in 'My Comments' in my profile, and in the other people's profile I checked, the comments are out of order. The comment appearing after mine in 'My Comments' appears before mine in the thread.

This is probably not worth much investigation, but I'm curious to know if it's happening to anyone else. When sorting by "my comments", the commented threads are in reverse chronological order, except that one thread (http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/9401) from July 2001 has for some reason sandwiched itself in between December 2001 threads and threads from 2002.

Miguel's comment got me to check my posting history (it's an ugly thing to do, I don't recommend it). Anyway, I found that the comments I posted aren't in any kind of order. (more inside)

Has something changed about the way Metafilter displays. In the last couple of weeks all I see when I go to www.metafilter.com is posts which have had recent comments. From what I can tell the post with the most recent comment is at the top of the list.

Prior to this strangeness I used to see all posts in reverse chronological order going back in time, a week maybe? I've checked the Options page to no avail...

Most recent!? What about an option to display the last 10 or 20 most recently commented on posts? If you counted the initial post as a comment it might be a way to a)save bandwidth and b) keep up on what's being discussed.

For me metafilter is about discussion, and this would be a great tool to cut through the clutter.

Oh, and a pony.
